I used the A153 kit on my car: A153 Front Disc Brake Conversion Kit, Mopar Non Power As for the wheels, the (front) wheels in my picture are 14" X 5 1/2" small bolt pattern Rallye wheels. They fit/clear perfectly. The steel wheel you posted will likely NOT fit/clear.

I used the SSBC kit on my '71 Dart GT. SSBC allows small or large bolt pattern wheels. It does push the front wheels outboard ~1/4" (if I remember correctly). It was expensive, but it was a complete kit with good directions. I would use them again. My $.02 opinion!

If I remember correctly, the rims were hitting the calipers as the lug nuts were tightened down. Some people suggested I could grind the calipers a bit for the needed clearance, or to use spacers to push the wheels outboard a little further. I chose to keep my 14" X 5 1/2" sbp Rallyes up...

I have SSBC on my '71 Dart GT. Very easy install. Option to run small bolt or large bolt pattern wheels. Be advised that, at least on my car, the 14" X 5 1/2" wide (& 4 1/2" wide) STEEL wheels do NOT clear. However, the 14" X 5 1/2" wide factory Rallye wheels fit fine.

My '71 Dart GT factory installed sbp 8 3/4" had the 10" X 1 3/4" bell style brake drum as well.

I too have the SSBC A153 kit on my Dart GT. The front pads, from what I remember, are FMSI# D11. I'd like to find out some details on the standard rotors provided in the kit.

Have you looked at the SSBC kit? I used it on my '71 Dart GT and was able to keep the factory 14" X 5 1/2" small bolt pattern Rallye wheels. I don't know if the 14" X 5 1/2" STEEL wheels will fit. Gratuitous picture from the Woodward Dream Cruise!
