Hard Pedal w/just installed Power Assist

Hey guys, I took a couple weeks away from it all and came to the decision that I'm putting the manual set-up back on. Got some health issues that won't go away and I may have to sell the ol' girl to help cover them. Thanks much for all your inputs!

Hard Pedal w/just installed Power Assist

I didn't see any adjustment/threads, or they are already cranked all the way in.

Hard Pedal w/just installed Power Assist

Check valve was okay. I had a friend who diagnosed the "hard pedal" but he's totally unused to driving the older cars, with OR wothout power assist so there may not be a problem. Unfortunately,I won't be able to test it/drive it myself until next week. Might be a little bit better news then...

Hard Pedal w/just installed Power Assist

I'm betting it is the booster. I pulled the hose off it and the engine died on the spot from the vacuum leak.

Thanks but I don't think that's it. It's a slant with stock factory cam.

Hard Pedal w/just installed Power Assist

Dart 67, had manual drums. I bought a used booster/master assy from someone here. Everything hooked up okay, I DID replace the master with a rebuild as it had a bit too much "junk" in the rear reservoir. We bled the brakes and no vacuum leaks. Still it's a hard pedal. 1.Anything to do with...

Installed Power Brakes '67 Dart, need brake lines.

Older lines use a double flare, whereas the newer ones are single flared. I don't have a double flaring set-up, plus they can be a bugger to "center" hence it'd be worth it to me to find something already double flared be it straights or preformed.

Installed Power Brakes '67 Dart, need brake lines.

I totally trashed the brake lines that went from the (manual) master to the prop.valve. What I need now are either some straight 20" brake lines with the CORRECT fittings, taht I can bend into place, or some semi-exact fit replacements. I don't want to install the crappy "adapter" system unless...

How Much Grief to put power brakes into a 67 Dart?

Guys, it was near bad news trying to hit the brake pedal off the gas pedal. Just not close to being used to it. Redfish: Nice suggestion and I looked it up in Master Brake, I don't see a bracket (s) listed with it, plus a DUAL diaphragm? Needless expense as I've driven with singles since '71 and...

Manual drum to power drum help

Gang I am changing (or going to try) from manual drum brakes to power drum brakes. I can pick up a rebuilt booster/master for around $110... SO, what else do I need to convert over, a different pedal assembly? Pedal bracket? All help appreciated Greg O
