From personal experience, we have run a 5.9 Magnum in Stock Eliminator and Crate Motor classes since they were allowed in 2000.     OEM Magnum rockers are NOT stud mounted, it is actually metric bolts that attach them to the head.

    In our Stock Eliminator Dakota, we twisted it 6000 to 6400 most of the time in first and second gear with no failures.

    The uneven wear pattern on the water pump pulley should be a good indication that something isn't right, the pulley should be shiny all the way around.

    You need to get a tubing bender & tweak the tub around the button head fastener. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT try to bend it while it's in the block, you will crack the tube or it will break.

    I'm sure there are some good original non cracked Magnum head casting out there. Put a Wanted ad on the site to see if there are any close to you. My heads were cracked & I found a pair from a member here that were only about a mile away.

    Valve Springs and Cam Options R/T Heads

    I would take the heads to your local machinist to find the specs on your springs. Just MHO. I know these heads were good for 2 tenths on our stock eliminator Dakota. The factory springs would support a .480 lift cam with no problem.

    Adam, We are running a 5.9 claiming 335 hp in a 2000 Dak as an I/CM drag car. Running R/T heads with no porting, M1 intake, 750 Holley DP, 10.5 Hoosier slicks, 4.56 8 3/4 with spool, CalTracs, weighing 3430 per IHRA rules. Best run to date was 11.21 with 1.49 60'. Any other questions, PM me...
