Just be sure you "bag and tag" everything you take off of each car with some type of designation (ie 63/75, or Dart/Valiant). That way you don't get confused and frustrated when something does line up, or fit correctly. And take a "TON" of pictures before starting disassembly.

You can always put a 1/4" shim plate one one side or the other of the motor mounts, that was an old time fix from the late 60's.

Take it to a plumbing store, it is NPT (national pipe thread). You can use a square headed pipe plug in place of the OEM plug.

270 was a body style there was also a 170, this had no reference to the engines. From your pictures, my guess is that it's a 225. As simple as the wiring was back then, it shouldn't take long for it to be buzzing away. LOL

If you swapped in the 273, you might want to hunt down a pair of 67 of later heads because of the intake issue. Another thing to consider is the earlier 273s had a smaller crankshaft register than the later ones. Something else to consider as mentioned earlier is get a 5.2 or 5.9 and build...

If it's a former race car, the engine was probably changed sometime in it's history. Once you get it home, confirm the casing date of the block.

Do yourself a favor and put LED bulbs in the reverse lights.

Whether or not it's a race car, the silicone and metal sandwich gaskets are the best bang for the buck. They don't dry out and the set that are on my bracket car are between 11 and 12 years old.

When using cork gaskets on a race car, they have a tendency to deteriorate quickly when have to check valve adjustment frequently. Been there done that, flagged off the line because if oil drips.
