    I put the GV in my 67 Barracuda with the 904. 3:71 gears. The only change I made was lowering the transmission crossmember about an inch and building a new driveline. The electrical work is more serious than the mechanical work.

    IMO the combination spider you put in the rear U joint is not causing the vibration unless it is installed incorrectly. It should easy to find, good luck with it.

    No return spring on the transmission. I thought the same thing about a dry transmission. I filled mine up, started the car and adjusted the setup per the lokar instructions. No worries mate:-)

    I have the lokar setup on my 273/904 combo. The action is slightly stiffer than factory was but not enough to fret about. I adjusted the kickdown to fully engaged at WOT and have about 3K on the car since completion with a 700 mile road trip and no issues whatsoever. Good equipment imho.

    Put one in my 67 Barracuda-904. Extensive wiring and cabling, controller ect. I dropped my transmission crossmember about an inch to get everything proper clearance. Just follow the book. Build a new driveline and your overdriving.

    Just a thought, get a digital angle finder and check your pinion angle setup. That was the problem with my GV equipped Barracuda.

    I put an 8 1/4 A body with SG unit in my Barracuda. Bought correct shock plates and u-bolts used from a member here. I just rebuilt my leaf springs at the time and everything went together really well. Had to have a custom driveline built as I installed a GV overdrive. It's a good swap.

    Depends on what you want to do with your car. I wanted to road trip mine at a reasonable RPM and my install cruises at 70 MPH at 2300 RPM with 28" tires and 3:73/1 SG gears. Yeah its a little money but I want to cruise RT 66 with my Notch-----------------

    I have that setup in my Barracuda. As quick as my car goes through the gears 1-4 is as fast as I can react. I know that to try to split/shift it would be way slower and cost time in the end.

    I know it's not everyone's first choice but I have a 999/GV setup in my 67 Notch and it performs flawlessly. 3:73-1 SG with 28" tall tires = 2400 RPM @ 70 MPH. I like it!

    I used a NAPA master rebuild kit for the recondition and a Transgo TF2 for shifting where I wanted it. The results are a 10 of 10!
