Got the ABS read! Looks like the circuit board is powered through the main power wires and the key-on wire is only a signal wire. Hooked power to to the smaller of the 2 and was able to connect. But first I pulled the motor and valve assembly so it didn't pull too much power for my benchtop...

I never did anything with the keys so I’m no help. Sorry. What module are using to connect to the OBD2 port? I heard there are some not great ones, and that a direct connection is better that BT. Just tossing it out there in case some of your problems are related to the module you are using.
