    Hemi Swap standard AC

Oh, my bad. I’ve been following your build and I guess I forgot that. With the Holley mounts moving the motor forward about 1.75”, the AC compressor is a bolt on. It’s one of the reasons I went with the Holley mounts myself. Note that it is only a bolt on with ‘11+ motors and since you have...

    Hemi Swap standard AC

If your motor is in the stock location in regards to the firewall, you will probably need a custom mount. @JBrian?

    Which AC/heat system and why?

Best I can tell, the issue with the ‘73+ cars is the controls. The later heater box reversed the direction for the blend door lever so the control lever goes opposite. I am fairly sure the firewall is the same and I don’t think the dash frame changed for non-ralley dashes. Only other thing...

Classic Auto Air in 67 Barracuda Factory Non AC

Sounds like the perfect project for someone that likes to 3D print stuff....Not me, just pointing out it out. Someone could probably get pretty creative with the crossover tube and add clearances for the wipers to swing without restricting airflow too much. And then transition to a 2" tube on...

How effective are the under dash AC duct outlets on a original car?

Pretty sure the 69 or 70 B-Body had at least the center vents in the dash. But not sure on the end ones. Edit - Appreciate the input, curious to see how those parts look.

How effective are the under dash AC duct outlets on a original car?

Those are what I am really trying to avoid. If I was going to do something custom, I want it to look somewhat integrated, and those to me look too....JC Whitney? I like the stock look because it is stock, but would want custom ones to look like maybe the factory could have done it that way. I...

How effective are the under dash AC duct outlets on a original car?

Hadn't thought about the hoses. Since the center ones would replace the radio, I would guess those would be ok, and the passenger side one shouldn't be hard. But I could see the left DS one being a real pain.

How effective are the under dash AC duct outlets on a original car?

Been ruminating on how/where to put AC vents in/on my dash. Noticed that it seems like the typical format for most cars is two in the center of the dash and one at each corner. This puts them fairly high and you can get air from both sides. I'm curious how the effectiveness of the under dash...

    Pulley ??

I saw a note on a water pump pulley that 440Source sells that said washers can not be used on the water pump bolts or the pulley will hit. Do you have washers on your water pump bolts and if so would it maybe fix the issue?

    Pulley ??

I have a buddy putting a 400 in a '67 Dart right now. I tossed him a SB 4 groove crank pulley and he found a SB 2 groove water pump pulley and with a 1/4" spacer he got them to line up. But it seemed like he was going to have to build a custom alt mount to get everything done. And because of...

Found a Cheap/Affordable Solution to replacing the Defrost Duct (s)

Doesn't the heater box end take 2 different size hoses, but the vents in the dash are the same size? How did you get past that? Or am I missing it.

Do you put drill a small hole in your thermostat?

I started doing it years ago when I read about it in one of those 50-Tip articles in Hot Rod. If it's in Hot Rod, it has to be good, right? I like the idea of filling the motor before adding the thermostat, but struggle with how to keep all the coolant in the motor since it was on an...

    M1 plumbing question

Had a buddy with an M1 intake like you describe, no connections for the heater and such. Pretty sure we figured out it was an early version and the later one's had the holes drilled and tapped. Doesn't help you out any now, just an FYI.
