    Aluminum intake install - 340

I'm running one on my 340. Because that's what I had. Works well with my set up. 4.30, 3500 stall, rmvb 727, some cam. As Rumblefish360 noted, nothing really special about the install. Run what you got. You may find it suits your needs.

    Fuel tank/sender question

I used this one on my 72 OP. Not the cheapest, but no leaks, it works and registers accurately. I too opted to reuse the oem locking ring vs the new one. Used brass drift to loosen the ring. Be well folks.

    Sending unit terminal nut size????

Quick update. Got everything hooked up, poured in 9 gallons and fired it up. No leaks yet (gotta fill it up to be sure), gauge reading a hair under 1/2 full. Quick rip around the neighborhood. All good! Thanks again, Pat FYI- This is the unit I used.

    Sending unit terminal nut size????

Aftermarket. The the fuel line on the original corroded and cracked. Didn't want to push my luck with the temporary JB Weld bandaid any longer lol. Used the old locking ring which was much beefier than the one the unit came with. Hoping she don't leak.

    Sending unit terminal nut size????

Hey folks, Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Looking for the nut that goes on the fuel sending unit terminal. Spent more time sifting through numerous coffee cans of fasteners without finding one that fits than actually replacing unit lol! Absolutely can't believe I didn't have one that...

    Fuel Line Fittings Question

Thanks for the replies fellas. Much appreciated. Ya, not worried too much about the pressure, more curious about sealing with the ferrule vs flared fittings. Is stainless preferred over aluminum for fuel systems? I have no preference, will go with whatever works best. Thanks again guys, Pat

    Fuel Line Fittings Question

Hey Folks, I am going to be replacing some fuel line on the Duster and am curious if any FABO members have used the non-flare compression fittings similar to this one in their fuel system? Earl's Performance Tube Adapter Fittings 165010ERL I have, and use, a flaring tool but was curious it...

TM5 versus Torker and 340 Torker

Yep, I run a plain old Torker 340 on my on my Low-Buck 72 Duster 340, nothing fancy. Eddy 650, Hooker Comps, 727 RMVB, 3.23's and 3500 stall. Runs great, instant throttle response and tire frying ability. Planning on getting another chunk set up with 3.90-4.10 range gears. That said, hoping to...

Adding Fuel Pump Relay and Cut-Off Switch

Hey Folks, Did some research online but answers vary. Looks like the PO of my Duster installed the electric fuel pump directly off the ignition/fuse box?). Pump runs when key is turned to accessory and run positions. I'd like to be able to disable the fuel pump to allow me to do electrical...

    Electric Fuel Pump Just Quit?

Hi 66plyValiant. I wish I were running a double street hemi set up LOL. :burnout: The 95 GPH is the Free Flow value which is pretty typical for street driven cars. Our 340 is pretty basic, i.e. some cam, intake, 3/8" fuel line, converter etc. Now for high perf/drag cars 130 GPH free flow...

    Electric Fuel Pump Just Quit?

Hey Folks, Well, we slid under the car and checked the connections on the pump, all was good. Then turned the ignition on and hit the leads with our tester and showed 12v. Tapped the pump with a piece of wood and heard a weird/sick sounding little noise, then nothing. So we're off to surf the...

    Electric Fuel Pump Just Quit?

Hey folks. Thanks again for the useful tips and support. The project has taught my daughters the virtue of patience. Even when dad looses his! Doug 371 & Vitamindart - It's amazing how a good tap can sometimes fix stuff :D The trick will be keeping the kids from whaling on it too much...

memike/trailbeast, Thanks for the quick responses. Much appreciated, as always! The kids and I will get under the car this week to take a look at the pump and test it out. Never fails with projects does it? You fix one thing, and something else goes south LOL! If nothing else, my daughters...
