Trickflow Power Port 270 on a B block question.

Reviving this thread...... Any news on the 270 low deck setup? Been awhile and I'm sure things have been tried.

    Aftermarket block street strokers.

Well, I've always read the safe limit on the low deck factory block is around 650 horsepower. And that's possible with some TF 240 heads and a SFT cam. If I were to go over to bushed lifters, the expense of a solid roller, and max wedge heads then I would rather put all that down n the...

    Aftermarket block street strokers.

So with the 400 block the 470 seems to be the street strokers with the wrist pins out of the ring lands and the extra support of the skirts. At least it seems that way for most, some always disagree. That's cool. My question is with regards to the 4.5 bore aftermarket 440 blocks. How much...

Aluminum heads with a low compression 440 will loose compression? Huh?

I am hearing this, what I call horseshit, thing about bolting on a smaller chamber aluminum head will loose compression due to less heat in the chamber. Wouldn't less heat allow for hotter tuning? More advance? Ect? The argument is this "I want to build a "proper bottom end out of my 400...

Trickflow Power Port 270 on a B block question.

This must be what I was thinking, and had my mind mixed up. So it's a yes on stage six heads with RB manifolds on a B. So now another question. Just how much meat would have to be ground off the B manifold? Couldn't a manifold be welded up?

Trickflow Power Port 270 on a B block question.

I've searched around quite a bit and read all kinds of conflicting stuff from it won't work at all to Trickflow is coming up with a manifold. I am under the impression that the Trickflow 270 with "Max Wedge Type" intake runners wil work with a B block if using an RB intake manifold. Is this...

Be Cool Radiator & Fan module

I dont have any experience, at least not with a mopar. But I did use a junkyard fan on a toyota truck one time. I came out real nice. They got a few guys on here that have installed junkyard fans on champion radiators and the final product looked good. Heres a thread I started awhile back...

    Salvagable Block?

this is my line of thinking. All I want to do is stop the rust from getting any worse than it already is. I would think all the rust would have to be removed first. Cosmoline would work well. I never could find it. Never thought about Amazon.

    Salvagable Block?

I cant bring it in the house, if I was single I could. We are moving out of the trailer park and onto our new property. The property came with a decent shed that I can make into a work shop and store all my parts. I dont know if I can handle storing parts in the house anymore anyway. Never...

    Salvagable Block?

OK, lets say I take it to the machine shop, have it checked out and its a usable core. What would be the best way to store it once its cleaned? Right now with all my parts I clean them down, spray them with marvel mystery oil, wrap them in Saran Wrap and put them up. The parts are going...

    Salvagable Block?

I just brought home a 400 block with the intentions of building a 451 with a solid roller cam. The cyl bores are standard bore. I was planning on full machine work including lifter bore bushings. I got two questions. 1 Is this thing worth using? I really only need the block, so it...
