    71 DEMON

Not 100% sure but they may be the same as the hood scoop studs. Hopefully someone can verify that. If you’ve got a good hardware store you might be able to match something up too.

    Updates on the Demon Project

First day of me having the Demon on the road. Clocked about 15 miles. Still need to get it aligned and tail pipes made. Also needs some detailing and tidying some things up. First time I've driven the car as it was a "roller" when I got it. Actually rides and drives pretty nice.

    Updates on the Demon Project

Hello, I knew that would be asked and I kick my self for not taking pictures. I went to ACE hardware and bought some spring u nuts like the picture. The dash was just the frame no dash pad or anything at all installed in it. I lowered the steering column as it's not fully installed, meaning the...

    Updates on the Demon Project

Been busy last couple weeks. Seat belts installed, dash, instrument cluster is temp installed (still got stuff to do behind it). Keep running into little things with nuts and bolts to figure out. Got insurance set up, went with Chrome thru ANPAC with an agreed on replacement value.

    Updates on the Demon Project

Glass is in finally. Got to put rear seat etc back in. Pulled it out to make it easier to install window. The rear window wore the installers out. For some reason it decided to be a bear. Dash needs to go in. Got a guy lined up to do the tail pipes. Maybe on the road in a week or two.

    Updates on the Demon Project

Been working on little things. Had to put front and rear glass on hold, windshield was toast, found after cleaning it up. I did get my new heater motor wired up because I used a shorter motor for the big block clearance, and doors together. Had to order inside handles but the locks all work as...

    Updates on the Demon Project

Thank you. The headrest were in fairly good shape to begin with. One was cracked on the underside so it was repaired. The covering on these headrest are a thermoplastic type of covering and I don't think there's a lot that can be done with them. Maybe have them covered but not sure how that...

    Updates on the Demon Project

Sooo close to being driveable. Hopefully have front and rear windows installed next week or two. Gonna farm that one out. Got the seals but.... So I've been working interior, had the covers put on my seats and installed them. I know the covers aren't correct for a Demon but they are the style I...

    Updates on the Demon Project

Ok. Been busy last couple of days. Small stuff to some but making progress to me. Carpet is in, sill plates and extensions, got inside of driver door painted and weather seal installed. Heater box broke when trying to attach hook to bracket so had to regroup there and made doubler plates inside...

    Updates on the Demon Project

One quarter window complete and temp installed. I tore one of the forward seals so now I got to wait for a replacement. They are delicate. As I've said I bought this car in boxes so there's a lot of trial and error when fitting components back. Also does anyone have a picture of where and how...

    Updates on the Demon Project

Just a quick update, I've been working on the rear quarter windows (no pics yet) but I do have all exterior lights in and operating. Just a quick shot of the tail panel. I did install the digitails and they are very bright.

    Updates on the Demon Project

The steel wheels are a down the road idea. Goal right now is to have it on the road this summer. I wanna drive it and enjoy the time I get with my kids over the summer. Plus my dad is getting up there (74) and I want to do some things with him while he's still in fairly good health.

    Updates on the Demon Project

Hello Mr Gorsky, no black hood here. It's blue like the rest of the car. However you are correct that the mirrors will be like a matte black so the stripes probably should be as well. Thank you.

22duster, I had a custom strange S-60 built for my Demon. I can't really answer you with good info to help you out. I know others have used B-body rears in the a bodies. Here's a thread that may help you. will B or C body 8-3/4 fit under a 73 duster

I'm also thinking about black steelies with red line dog dishes. But I've also thought about body color on the wheels. Decisions decisions.

    Updates on the Demon Project

No sir. The mirrors will be black so I plan on gloss black stripes. I'm thinking it'll be just a little clash, the interior will be black with charcoal inserts ( already got). And believe it or not I have buckets with tracks but going to go with a split bench with center arm rest. As I've gotten...

    Updates on the Demon Project

Dartn440, believe it or not my goal with this car has been to kind of be low key. I had a fiberglass 6 pack hood for it. But once I found that everything would fit under the stock hood, the glass one went away. I've mulled over a go wing and now I don't think so. I have considered the chin...

Sireland67 I used Wizards Turbo and followed with their finish cut. It was recommended by the parts store. I used a buff and shine kit from the parts house, it came with a course wool, medium foam, a black finish foam along with a Velcro backing pad for the polisher. Turbo Cut™, 32 oz Me...

    Updates on the Demon Project

Been busy doing little things. This is one of the pita's I was dreading. Soda blasted the grille down and had to repair some mount tabs. The mount tabs I bought some 1/8" sheets of abs and cut to shape. I mixed abs slivers with a acetone to make a paste which worked very well as adhesive. The...
