Jeg's exhaust system: "deep tone" vs. regular mufflers

I am considering the Jegs 2-1/2" kit on my Duster. Running mild build 318, stock heads, ported with 1.88/1.6 valves installed. Running 340 manifolds. I'd like opinions on two things. 1. Is there a source for pre-made down pipes from manifolds to the rest of the system? 2. What's the craze...

    340 Manifold Flange Question

I have this set of 340 manifolds I'm going to run on my Duster Project with a mild build 318. I need to get the proper flanges for when I do the exhaust. I have seen some Chrysler aftermarket 2-1/4 flanges on Ebay and am wondering if anyone has used them or has a better solution. Also wondering...

How to Plug Smog Ports in Manifolds

The correct answer was to be more careful about what I buy. The seller has not shipped these to me yet and has agreed to return my payment. Fabo members are the greatest. Saving my pennies for a set of 340 A-Body manifolds... Thanks for the responses

How to Plug Smog Ports in Manifolds

I want to use these manifolds in my Duster project and I need suggestions on how to plug the air ports. They are off a 75 360 Roadrunner. I know they are not A-Body manifolds, but others have used them on A's with minor grinding here and there. My 74 318 has stock 74 heads with a 1.88/1.6...

    3751084 manifold casting number

3751084 casting number is a rear dump driver side exhaust manifold. I'm guessing it's not an A body manifold, but it looks like it may work on a 74 Duster with a 360. power brakes and steering. I can't find an A body 340 or 360 driver side manifold and there is a casting number 3751084 on ebay...

    The last F&%ing manifold bolt!

The manifold is coming off a nice running 84 truck 360 that eventually go in my 74 Duster project. Just pullin of the the truck manifolds, water pump, valve covers and other bolt-on stuff so I can keep on a cleaning the the motor and get it ready for new paint and the new bolt-ons

    What Happens?

What happens when you use exhaust manifolds from a 74 318 on a stock 84 360? What size pipe should the new exhaust be and what mufflers would sound nice and be a bit on louder side?

    Gasket match porting

What is gasket match porting? If I want to run a stock LA 360 with the exhaust manifolds from the 318 manifolds that came on the 318 that the car was built with, I read it would be a good idea to gasket match the head ports and the manifolds. Any short explainations or comments?
