    Anyone here using the Doug Nash 5=speed from Richmond Gears? If so, what rear gears are you running, and how tall are your tires?

    I was thinking the Nash route, also. It's 70's tech, so it will be clunky, but no worse than an 833, and probably not much worse than a Tremec (from what I've seen of their truck trans. I was not impressed, remember it's a former GM Division). There does not seem to be much info out there, so...

    I have a feeling the Richmond trans is the former Doug Nash 5speed, which had a reputation for being clunky, but bullet-proof. I can't rember why he liked short gears in the trans and long gears in the diff, but it seemed sensible when he explained it.
