I brought it up on the Moderators forum (yup, we have our own.....) and it was universally well received. Just have to get the blessings from the guy who pays the bills.... Wadda ya say Joey? Our membership wants to know.... 8)

You guys have NO IDEA what a thorn in our asses that Politics Forum is.... I wish it would go away too. We have members with 800 posts, and 745 are for Politics. :angry7: A Model Building Forum was considered a while ago but at the time we didn't have enough people, and truthfully... interest...

I know how you feel Max. At one time I was fully plugged into the hobby too. I met Mark at NNL East about 10 yrs. ago and I was a charter contributor to his model car museum. One day I'll make it out to the Salt Lake City show. I personally know a ton of people in the hobby too and really do...

I've had very good results using Castrol Super Clean as a paint stripper. Just make sure you use a plastic tub to soak the model in. It WILL eat through a metal container! Let it soak overnight & rinse w/ water using an old toothbrush to loosen up the paint. BTW: For years I've wondered why...

I just realized you have that kit on both an HO & 1/32 track. Your into every childhood fetish I had growing up. Please, tell us more about the tracks. BTW: Can I be your friend? :-D

I wish you guys would post your names in your signatures..... DGE467: Do you belong to the MASSCAR club? I've been up to Tauton a bunch of times for that show with the LIARS club. Your work is amazing.... the fictitious junkyard with the Turbine and Daytona is mind blowing. Your never seeing...

Ummm... I'm the one who sucks. I posted the Barracuda & Hemi under Glass kits. :???: DGE467: WOW! Please post more of your work. DAMN NICE builds!!! I especially love the tubbed `62 300 and the resin Dodge A-100 van. I have both stashed away and am looking forward to building them both...

WOW !!!!!!!!!!! That's waaaaaay cool! Mine was built about 10 yrs. ago too. This is eerie.... I always wondered how my car would have looked if I did all the trim in bare-metal foil. I still don't know why I didn't do it. 8) Great job!

Here's a box of old Mopars that will get built someday.... The upper left is an old AMT `61 Imperial annual kit. Back in the 60's, AMT did annual releases of the popluar cars. Some of these old kits are incredibly expensive today. A `58 Buick AMT annual is probably worth close to $500. That `66...

I also like building weird stuff. The more obscure the car, the more likely I'll hack it up. Here we have a BMW Isetta bubble car converted into a roadster with a uber stereo system..... Believe it or not, but through the magic of the internet, I found out 2 yrs. after I had brought this to...

This is the early 80's MPC version of the Dodge Pick up. I threw away the pick up bed and made one from sheet plastic. I also chopped the top a scale 6". The front bumper was molded in the the bottom of the front valance. The rectangular headlights are behind a green tinted lenses cover. Here...

This little guy was built from an ancient Revell parts pack dragster frame. The front axle was made from aluminum tubing and has functioning steering. The engine is from the Monogram `50 Ford pick up kit with a SCOT blower from a AMT `57 Chevy and a Tony Nancy 22JR. hood scoop. And every...

This is a Revell `69 Dart stuffed full of Hemi. The drive train came from that beautiful AMT pro street Coronet kit that I think everyone who builds Mopars has probably a dozen of them stashed away. Those kits are a treasure trove of contemporary goodies.... This one was detailed from A-Z...

This is my take on the Chrysler Atlantic concept car from the late 90's. Not until I sawed the roof off did it look right. A few years after I did this car I started seeing others at shows. The greatest compliment. The wheels are from a 1/18th. die cast Porsche and fit those huge wheel wells...

Yeah... done that too. Started with HO cars... then models... then RC cars.... then slots.... then 1:1 cars....then models....then slots.....back to 1:1 Cars. If it had wheels and could be made to go fast, I fooled with it. I even mounted Estes rocket engines to brass frames and shot them down...

I was waiting to see if Brian was coming to this party.... I've seen Brian's work before and he's another good builder. I especially like the `62 Chrysler 300 w/ the Shaker Hood. Great idea! Let me see what else I got stored on the old hard drive..... :-D

Funny you mentioned a DOHC Daytona project.... I started this one almost 9 yrs. ago and got sidetracked. This is going to be an open wheeled, mid-engined high-boy roadster. I spliced together 2 DOHC engines and created a ficticous V-12 version w/ a 4 X 4Bbl. intake. I also started a...

I heard the clear red Chargers and Barracuda's were limited to 500 of each. I bought this one about 5-6 yrs. ago on e-Bay for about $30. I've been looking for a second one since and haven't found one yet at any price. Not that I'd pay any price. I did that for the original `66 HUG kit. Don't...

Thanks for the compliment. You've posted some nice stuff too! The full detail builds can be a pain in the *** because you don't know where to stop. I add plug wires then think I need fuel lines, which means there should be throttle linkage too. And now we can't ignore other underhood plumbing...

Here's a few of the original `68 Barracuda annual kits I have. These are the ONLY correct `68 Barracuda kits in 1/25th. scale. Other kits are advertised as `68's, but are actually `69's with round side marker lights. Beware. At last count I have 7 complete kits stashed away. 8) Here's the...

I snapped a few pictures of some of my Mopar related models. The pictures are so-so at best....<sorry!> I used my Xacti pocket camera instead of my old Sony Mavica, which is much better for detail shots. For what they're worth, some of my cars. This is a Lindberg `64 Polara. 3 Weber 2...

Yes, it's the original issue. It also cost me twice what I paid for my first REAL car and there's NO WAY IN HELL I'm building it! I have several of the Model King reissue plus built-up's of the `67-9 versions of the HUG. Never mind what else I have stashed away.... In another life I was a...
