    Rear Disc Brake Kit From Summit

    How much was the kit Ben? I'm thinking of doing the big bolt pattern upgrade on my car, the one thing I regret not doing initially, and 4 wheel disc's are the way to go. BTW: Great pictures and explainations Jimmyray! I love seeing you guys post detailed tech-type stuff. It help's everyone.

    problem bleeding brakes

    First I'd make sure ALL the drum brakes are adjusted correctly. If you have to pump the pedal to make contact it'll take forever to bleed.... Secondly, make sure your getting line pressure to the rear wheel cylinders. Check the proportioning valve under the drivers frame rail in the engine...

    Weird problem

    I agree with Mguner.... sounds like a master cylinder issue. But first of all, do you have a disc brake master cylinder in the car to begin with? If it feels like the brakes are dragging you might have a drum brake master, which is different, and will cause the dragging you've mentioned.

    I have new stainless steel lines for the master cylinder, I need the other two that wrap around the engine compartment to the wheels. Although I don't need SS, I do need to find a source that will sell just these 2 lines, and not a "kit". Any suggestions?:thumblef:

    Walter gave the best advice: Work your way back and see where your loosing pressure. Most likely it is the proportioning valve.....
