Great pics. Unfortunately, my old high school has been remolded. I can see my car in the parking lot in 1979 in my minds eye.

Getting to it too!!! 1967 Barracuda Coupe

Finished most of the 273 this weekend. I'm waiting on the carb to come back from restoration. A couple other odds and ends are on the way. Once everything is together, the engine will be going off to Godfrey Racing for dyno break-in and numbers. I'm anxious to see how this little 273 performs...

Getting to it too!!! 1967 Barracuda Coupe

Worked on the engine more today. I did need to space the windage tray main bolts in order to get the tray away from the oil pan rails. This also helped with allowing the tray to sit properly on the special bolts. Worked on the intake manifold as well. My brother purchased the correct intake and...

Getting to it too!!! 1967 Barracuda Coupe

Gary picked up a really nice sway bar for the fish at Carlisle. We were looking for one to add to the car. We already have the lower control arms with tabs. I wire brushed the bar and sanded any pitting (there was very little). The bar and brackets were painted with chassis paint. I ordered...

Getting to it too!!! 1967 Barracuda Coupe

I bought original, used windage tray hardware from Bill Rolick. I spoke with him at Carlisle. He said that he had a few sets back in Jersey. They are not listed on his web site. No additional washers are needed with original hardware. You might want to give him a call. Bill Rolik Enterprises -...

I've been making progress on the 273. Crank, cam, and timing set installed. Installed pistons 1 and 2 in order to degree the cam. Tried to spin the assembly and was unable to budge it. I automatically went into panic mode and loosened #1 conecting rod cap.... no movement. Tightened #1 up again...

1966 Factory V8 Valiant Signet Restoration For My Other Daughter

Hi Jim. I love your resto thread. I'm putting my brother's 67 Barracuda engine together. I was wondering what color red you used on your engine and whether it is a close match to the factory color.

Got some mechanical work done on the car this weekend. Piston ring end gaps have been checked and installed. Also got the crankshaft installed. That's enough for today.

Getting to it too!!! 1967 Barracuda Coupe

Hello everyone. I just wanted to give you all an update on progress on Gary's car. We made the trip out to Mike Ross in October of last year. I didn't make any headway on the car over the winter. My garage is not heated and I spent a lot of time in the woods deer hunting. Now that the weather is...

1972 Canadian H-Code 340 Dart Swinger Special Resto - Finally started!

I never got into smoking either. I have to laugh when I look at the full-size cars from the late 60's and early 70's. They had lighters in the ashtray, driver armrest, passenger armrest, console, and the rear passenger armrests. Seems like we were the only ones not smoking! I've been able to...

    Needed: Resto Rick Assembly Checklist

Good news! Rick got back to me and sent me the list. I'm going to attach it for anybody who might find it useful. I'm having a hard time converting it to a form that I can download. I'll probably scan it and add pics later.

    Needed: Resto Rick Assembly Checklist

Hi Gang. I'm getting ready to start wrenching on my brother's 67 notch. When I put my duster together, I downloaded an assembly checklist off of Resto Rick's site. Unfortunately, I didn't save the download and it seems that I am not able to access any of his archived info. I'm just checking to...

Finally getting to it!!! 1970 Duster 340

My wife, Nora, and I made it back to PA without issue in the wee hours of the morning today. We rolled up the house at 5AM after 14 hours on the road. We had a great time and met some wonderful Mopar people. I even got autographs from Red Farmer and Bobby and Donnie Allison! I don't follow...

Finally getting to it!!! 1970 Duster 340

Thanks for the kind words everybody. My wife and I made the trip down to Talladega relatively unscathed. I had a little run in with my trailer and a concrete post at a gas pump. Ugh! Fortunately, no functional issues with the trailer and the Duster was not damaged. We’ve having a great time and...

We're getting ready to roll out of town tomorrow. Everything is loaded up and the Duster is secure. I had to rent a truck for the trip because my Dodge minivan wasn't up to the task. I'll post pics as things unfold.
