    I CAN’T DRIVE 145mph

How tall of a tire do you have? A 26" tire with 3.73 gears will go 145 mph at 7000 rpm. so if you have enough motor to make power to 7000 rpm you are good to go.

When ET and MPH Are Not a Match?

Converter, shocks, springs, gear ratio, tire hook, all equal 60' 330' 660' . You get the car working great and those numbers will be where they should be. The ET will be a result of those. MPH is HP and weight. jet up the carb, till the mph dropped off them go back 2 sizes for that day...

    Engine leaning out at 3000rpm

Well to start with if you have almost 500 cubic inches, i will say start with an 850 cfm carb and get it tuned. Unless this is a trans brake race car you need a power valve in the primary side. I would say start with 76 jet in front with a PV and an 88 jet in the secondary side. Go out make some...

Should I modify my 750dp, or just go bigger?

Is this a full blown race car that your leaving at 4500 or higher on the transbrake? Then go bigger where low speed drivabillity and part throttle are not needed. If its a street strip car, then stay with the 750. This is why i dyno everything, there is no guessing as to what the motor wants vs...

    Intake Manifold Flow #'s

The intake manifold is an extention of the cylinder head. And both are relative to cubic inch and application. Your not racing flow benches, i have seen those be out to lunch, like a dyno a flow bench can be a little happy. It is very interesting how port shape is so critical.

    Help with jet size please

The best way to jet is at the track make passes and add jet till your mph drops off then go back to the best mph! Squirter size gives you your 60'! Add squirter till it blows black out the back then go down two sizes. That has worked for me in the past.
