    '66 Dart Wagon Survivor "refurbish"

I know for my '66 you can use a 4 door sedan carpet which helps greatly...not unique for wagons. Look around, several companies carry it and in pretty good variety of colors...I even found my red. I used ACC. Good luck

    '66 Dart Wagon Survivor "refurbish"

Well, here's the latest effort on my wagon. I got the carpet installed this past weekend, sorry for the crappy cell phone shot. It certainly "woke up" the interior, especially shows off my worn steering wheel...but that's part of it charm. Amazing how the dealer-installed AC has a drain hose...

    Another 68 Dodge Dart....

No, not original color ( was pea green). Previous owner did color change, non factory color...unfortunately, a 90's Hundai red of all things! But it does look good and much redder looking in less sunlight. Your original color is not bad...don't see a lot of them like that.

65charger, Very interesting that the mud flaps were big in Europe. My dad went through two of them ( I recall as a 9 yr old trying to dissuade from attaching the second one). Even then, I just didn't think it was cool...it went on anyway...

    Some pictures of my Dart.

Really nice!! Love the color and "sleeper" vibe with steeelies and subtle turn down tailpipes. That motor looks stock sitting in there. Nice work.

    '66 Dart Wagon Survivor "refurbish"

Came across this photo of my father's original wagon in an old scrapbook. This would be around 1971. Note the crazy mudflap he had on it....I remember it well...it won't be added to the "refurbished" version. I don't recall the story around the crease in the rear door. Thought you might...

mopars are still out in the weeds!

Can't help but think EVERYONE of these cars was once a pristine, brand new car that was pampered (at least for a week or so), and now look where they are...depressing. Great thread though

    72 demon 340 resto

You guys can decide for yourself, here's a link about it: http://www.supercarraces.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=681 Is there another one in these options, delivered by Spaulding? Anyway, OP sounded interested in the whole Spaulding connection, that's why I posted it.

    72 demon 340 resto

Chrisf, It's not my car, wish it was. The owner is well known Mopar collector and the car has been written up a bunch of times. I believe the key is ordered via Spaulding very specifically...Mr. norm had some connections. Assume Galen weighed in too, but don't know that.

Evil, Great work. Thought you'd enjoy this. Some inspiration! How rare is it? This is the Last 340 Demon built in 1972. This is the only factory built, Black on Black on Black w/ Black stripes Demon. The highest optioned 1972 Demon. This Demon was delivered, modified and dyno'd by...

Yes, bias ply 13's w/ whitewalls, bought them from a member here. They really set off the original look of the car. Can't believe how skinny they are! jsynflem, Nice wagon too! Totally agree, plan to make some memories with my young daughter with the wagon too. Like watching...

    '66 Dart Wagon Survivor "refurbish"

Thanks for the compliments! You are right about the "balancing act". Carpet is yet to go in (which we had to replace, was really bad, but with it, plus dash overlay and seat re-covered, I know the worn steering wheel is going to stick out like a beacon! But, one thing at a time, I error on...

    '66 Dart Wagon Survivor "refurbish"

I've mentioned a bit about my project in other areas here, but thought I'd provide some "eye candy". The car is a VERY solid survivor that spent it's entire life in West Texas...and the last 20 years sitting in the desert. I spotted it online and it matches identically in year, color combo and...
