    Summit 2.5" exhaust

I am also very happy with the Summit kit on the'71 Swinger. I am using it with the stock 318 manifolds. Nice and quiet until you get on it but no drone to speak of at the range you mentioned.

Best Place to buy TTI Products

I don't know what TTIs show schedule is but when they are at Spring/Fall Fling (in CA), they either off a discount or no shipping cost deal. Perhaps they will be at show close to you this season. It couldn't hurt to ask them.

Here you go. Note: This is the Summit kit for headers but was modified to use with stock exhaust manifolds. Also, this is a stock 318 with a 4-bbl and aftermarket manifold. The links didn't work when I copied and pasted from the original thread but you can check it out by clicking the link...

    block huggers?

The problem with blockhuggers for our applications is that they were initially designed for rods with either MII (Mustang II) front ends or other modified front suspensions. They were not designed with K-members in mind and that's usually were the problems begin.

    Thorley Headers

When Doug Thorley got divorced, his wife took over the company. Doug came back and opened Doug's Headers (which is now owned by PerTronix). He was smart to have the tag line: "The Original Doug's Headers".

    TTI/Eddy Sealing Problems?

I have heard from several people that they are having sealing issues with TTI headers on Eddy heads (unported and ported). These people either switched headers or have added a bead around the header port and ground them down to get them to seal properly. Can anyone share their experiences...

    Need Exhaust Recommendations

While it was on the rack, I sprayed the inner intermediate pipes black to see if a hot spot appears. I have a feeling I won't see one. If not, one will be cut-in in the usual space. The shop was fine with the installation except for the initial downpipe size. He used 2" for the initial...

    Need Exhaust Recommendations

The exhaust came out good. I was expecting it to be a little louder but it isn't (which I like). I'm sure with headers, it would be louder. Cruising on the highway, you can barely tell the difference. At idle, you can. Here is the before & after video and a few pics at the shop (and one of...

    Need Exhaust Recommendations

Rob, congratulations on getting those on. I almost toyed around with the idea of picking up a set of headers so that I could throw the system on myself (by eliminating the need for the downpipes to be fabricated) but that would have defeated the original purpose of this ($). Also, since I read...

    Need Exhaust Recommendations

Re: the exhaust. It is getting welded up as we speak. It kills me not to be able to hang it myself, clamp it and take it over there and have them weld it but since the downpipes needed to be fabricated, it didn't make sense. As usual (and especially around here), the less work they are...
