I believe it'll hit the rear axle pumpkin if I'm not mistaken, you can jack the car up from the frame, lift until frame is high enough from axle to let the sender clear out, just make sure you place some jack stands for safety.

I am sorry, I reinstalled it that same day, but basically on that open middle space where you put wire at has a small copper looking cylinder shaped metal. I'll probably take it out once I get some jack stands and take pictures of it for you, after all I'm a grease monkey, it's fun lol

Well I bent the metal strip thing where circled in red so that the tip would rub better on the wrapped wires, well took the car around to waste some gas and it seems to mark under the 1/4 now...will have to fill er up with some juice and see how it goes...if all goes well no new sender...

Okay I'm going to try something...all I did is bend the little metal strip that moves up and down reading the wrapped wire...now when it goes up and down it rubs better...not sure how tight it should be though...Right now you can hear clicks when it moves up or down...is that too tight against...

After much frustration of having to drive my dart with a non working gas gauge, yes it now works, I took the cluster out, cleaned up all the corrosion on the screws. But now it is off by 1/4, when the car is on it always shows it has 1/4 filled although it really only has what it marks after...

What is is frikkin right way to start a car back up after you run out of gas!?!?! I am struggling getting the pump to suck the gas up again, I'm sure I am doing something wrong...what is the right way, all I do is pour gas in the carb, crank and crank and more crank till it starts, it doesnt...

Well problem fixed, replaced that hose, after a few unlucky tries, I finally got er to run on its gas again woot!!!! Now, to the next problem! Ill post it on the engine issues thread =/:angry7: Thanks to everyones help, learned a lot!

Yep, its pretty dry, I bend it and I can see small cracks, Ill replace it and test the pump, hope it works!

Could this be the problem? lol What I am not sure is...did I rip it while trying to get it off or was it like that all ready haha, when I took the opposite side off from the riped part, I noticed it was ripped, so I guess this is the problem because I couldn't of ripped it by pulling it like...

Well I'm trying to get my car to fire, no gas is being sent through, the clear filter is dry, nothing in it, is this due to a fuel pump that decided to give up? or the fuel sender? Anyone have any of these for a slant six? Gotta get the car up and running before the Spring Fling...
