I still have one in my glove box. I have it just in case someone needs it because I don't run them anymore. But really they weren't a big problem. Even if you were to have to just "jump-by-pass" it and get to where you need to go. No big deal. Plus they are easily replaced compared to a fusible...

Yeah I did. I worked at an AMC dealership until I started at Chrysler/Plymouth in 1985. Mopar wiring is the worst.

Mopar has always had the worst electrical diagrams of any car company I have ever worked on.

Inspected the bulkhead connection

Go to NAPA. They have the best V belts around I have ever found. They cost a bit more but are well worth it. Most old NAPA store will have the P/N for it. I couldn't keep an A/C belt on my Scamp until I got theirs.

Yes. I had an old Sun tach and the car ran like crap when it was connected. Took a while it figure that one out too!

Check to see if you have a signal from the crank sensor. It has to see crank and cam sensors to have spark. The cam sensor is in the distributor. Also called the pick up plate. You should be able to scan it and get a code.

What type of ignition are you running?

Go to the bone yard and get a coil off of a magnum engine.

Do search for "electronic distributor" or "HEI" There is lots of info already in here. Should be all you need to know.

I had to do that in a minivan. Chrysler came up with a great idea that if they got rid of the connectors there would be no more wiring problems. It was one harness for the whole van. How ******* stupid. Gutted the car to a shell. Can't remember what years it was but they quickly got away from...

It is big. If you want to go GM style HEI, which work quit well, you can go this route Mopar HEI Conversion and keep your factory distributor. This way you still have the factory advance curve and it's less money.

That's kinda cool. I would definitely run it through spark plugs. Make sure no flammable liquids are around! :popcorn:
