I had retro auto sound do mine who was vending at the Carlisle, Pa show. I have no complaints, but for $600 including all the speakers I will just go aftermarket next time (I will not cut up the dash though)

All the bezels have been restored. I replaced the entire dash frame with an uncut radio area just to put an original upgraded radio in it. Butchered dashes aggravate me for some reason.

In reference to Instrument Specialties: The guy who does them has an illness of some sort and therefore works when he is able.

Does anyone know what type or kind of paint is used to paint the bezels Brown? Two of the bezels are of a lighter brown in the other bezel was restored by another person and is darker brown. So I would like to make the darker one lighter. Do I find someone with an airbrush? Recommendations...

The SEM vinyl black paint is fantastic stuff. I used the SEM vinyl cleaner and prep. After talking to tech, they advised that is best sprayed at under 51% humidity. Otherwise, the substrate will result in a chalky appearance. Ask me how I know. The results were amazing. Better than...

I bought the covered ABS one from Dante's. No problems since. It helps with 2 people though

1. I used wax/grease remover 2. Duplicolor adhesion promoter 3. Duplicolor interior black They look fantastic. Also, I have been using SEM paint with excellent results. I did my duster seats and they came out like new! Hint: Humidity has to be less than 51%

I used Eastwood's sound deadener. Cheaper than Dynamat.

HerbsParts.com sells dash paint. I did my dash with it and it came out nice.

I bought 2 boxes of Eastwood's deadener. Each box weighs at least 40 lbs.

Bought one from Herbs parts for @230 plus shipping. Long wait list though as a new shipment came 2 weeks ago.

I am about to give up and ever seeing my bezels again. (BTW: I am glad I did not send my radio delete bezel) I will have to find/buy bezels AGAIN and send them elsewhere. I would be happy to get my parts back untouched at this point.

Holy crap! I sent my bezel 2 months ago with my gove box. He told me he did not know how to remove the glove box latch was was sending back the unit. Never heard from him after 2 e mails, now phone number is gone. Great. Take in orders, keep your parts parts and laught all the way to ther bank.

Had mine bead blasted and primed. Recently, I bought some gloss black from Home Depot, but got some runs. I wet sanded and repainted which made it worse, now I have a run on the top part which meets the windshield. So far, it looks horrible due to my lack of experience and I will sand again...
