904 Push Button transmission shifting problem

Make sure it is adjusted correctly. Small changes make a big difference in how it works. What I did on my Lancer was this: Car on jack stands. Pan off the transmission. Using the Factory Service Manual. I had my wife in the drivers seat and we went through all the gears. Got it right in no time...

    Hydraulic clutch questions

They have pretty good tech, you could ask them. I run an American Powertrain in my Colt. Just the bearing. I have a cylinder mounted in the floor. Make sure you have at least .100 clearance from the bearing to the clutch fingers. They say .150 is best, but .100 is minimum. I changed from a B&B...

    a833 B body/E body to A body conversion

I think all you will need is an A Body output shaft and an extension housing. Stay away from the OD boxes, they are easy to get parts you can't use!

1969 Dodge Dart issue with installing axles after thrust block removal.

I have had the pin in the thrust block break and the thrust block falls or gets out of place. Flash light down the tube to the center to see if there is a blockage or something wrong.

a body overdrive bellhousing for 318/slant 6. Interchangeable?

I have had a few requests for that V8 bell. So some folks are looking for them. I use them to store transmissions, takes up less space on the floor.

Trans Line Bracket. How is it mounted?

With old or new lines, you most of the time end up re-forming at some point. When I did my slant I placed the bracket and then fit the lines so it would line up. It still was a PITA.

a-904 transmission pan leaking looking for a new pan and am confused what fits a 1960 / 170

Early 904's with the detached park pawl, housing, have a small bend in the pan rail in the back. Make sure your gasket covers the pan rail correctly and you are not being caught on a raised edge.

    SL-6 A/T Lines...Don't Fit Nicely

Can't help you with your car, but I bent the lines for my lancer 2 or 3 time before I got what I could live with. I bought some from Summit for a mid 60 A and bent, fitted and spent hours getting them in. I guess original lines to make the patterns from are not around, so they take a guess and...

Do you have all the clips on the cups? It shouldn't move side to side, or did I read that wrong? And your cross caps, why do they stick out so far?

    8 3/4 Yoke Issues, U-Bolts? Big Straps?

Yea I know, but I have already bought the shaft, I have a yoke I don't want to use, I have to get the shaft cut to fit, so I will just make the best out of what I have.

    8 3/4 Yoke Issues, U-Bolts? Big Straps?

I agree, but it this point in the build I need to get this part done. Here is the offending member! Looking closer I can see where it was drilled.

    8 3/4 Yoke Issues, U-Bolts? Big Straps?

The case is sol-ved, to quote inspector Clouseau! Here is a whole story, 1962 Lancer Wagon, Slant, 904 Pushbutton. I purchased a driveshaft off Slant Six forum a few years ago. It has the front ball and trunnion conversion on it. It is a new shaft and I thought it was a bolt in for a stock early...

    8 3/4 Yoke Issues, U-Bolts? Big Straps?

Why would someone do that? There is not really enough material on the back to let the nuts ride correctly. If it was drilled they did a pretty good job, they aren't wallered out or messed up. Had to have been done on a press, not under the car for sure. So if I get a correct driveshaft with the...
