I'd have to guess the rear brakes are holding enough to make it bog. I'm also interested in the line lock.

How do you set the adjustment for the rear brakes?

I'm guessing you are aware. Got to make sure you don't have the higher psi residual valves used on at least some drum systems.

The manual master cylinder uses a different diameter piston (smaller I think) to reduce the force required. They're not that expensive, better to get the right one. Ask here, likely someone will have a rod the right length.

Clamp the line to the brakes. Do a SLOW test drive.
