A couple of us have used the Cadillac CTS seats with integrated seat belts. Very comfy but heavy. I have the rear seat to match in my 69 Dart. Still a project.

I have not purchased anything yet. I've read the differing opinions on how to ground it. The method outlined by 396 suits me. Anyone know a good source for the cables? I do recall there was someone here who had bought a bunch in bulk. I think shifting weight to the back is a great idea.

That makes sense. I like the brass stud in epoxy idea. I imagine that + terminal inside could be handy as well.

Good ideas. I'm also planning a battery relocate. I was planning to route under and up through the trunk. I'm wondering what most people do, through the interior or under?

You will need screwdrivers, and a few other things. First thing should be to tell everyone what tools you already have. :)

Thanks for the measurements. Sorry I'm so slow about it. I ordered a CTS rear seat yesterday. 80 bucks on Ebay, great deal but shipping was 175.

I'd appreciate having the measurements. I'm trying to determine if a Caddy CTS seat will fit in my 69 Dart. I know someone put one in an early A (Dart).

Thanks, makes sense. The metal tubing I welded into my floor pan for seat supports I welded shut on the ends and am not worried about internal corrosion. Rockers and other cavities will definitely see more moisture.

Anyone know what is an easily sprayable (thin) product for rust conversion/prevention for this purpose, and other cavities? Like the rockers. I cut holes in mine front, back, and one middle (inside where it won't be seen) to get sand out after blasting. This and many other cavities should get...

Man that is fast. I wonder if the motor will be stressed? I always thought is seemed like something was cutting power to the motor. I guess not, its just mechanical. I guess its OK for the motor to be stopped that way. I may do this to my 69. I like the window crank switch idea.

Its so good when folks figure out how to "git er done" without spending a bundle. Just curious, what stops the motor stop at the end of travel?

You are doing some great work. If you ever get to selling this kind of thing, think about doing a Demon tail-light with sequential turn signals like the old Cougars. Now that would be awesome. :D If I had the know how I'd do it myself.
