Nothing wrong with that Magnum manifold if you can make it clear the steering box.

best hi flow ex manifold/drivers side

Robert, if you can find an A body drivers side manifold from a 72 and up 340 or 360, it is the same thing as the early 340 Hi Po drivers side manifold except that it has tabs cast on top of it to hold a heat stove for a pipe running up to the air cleaner. It has the same 2 1/4 outlet as the...

Sounds like an opportunity for somebody with a 3D printer to make a run of them. :)

'65 Barracuda Interior moldings under rear window

My 65 has oval slots and the black flappers in the trunk rain gutter. I'll try to remember to look at the paint color around the opening when the plywood divider is down. My interior is black, the exterior was originally Baby Blue. So it will either be black, blue or red GA mud...lol.

    8.75 Axle tube. HELP!!!!

I have a 68-70 B body 8 3/4 bolted into my 70 Duster with no mods to the springs or rearend, just to make it a roller. I put that part in bold for the nit pickers...lol. They are that close to being a perfect fit for a Duster, Demon, Dart Sport. Spring perches are cheap, so it doesn't cost a lot...

    Room for a Clutch-Fan in a '65?

Here’s the part number on the clutch. No MFG logo or anything.

    Room for a Clutch-Fan in a '65?

I have no idea, but was told maybe Mercedes. I meant to take a pic of the part number, and like a ding dong.....I forgot! :BangHead: I'll get it back out and add the pic of the part #.

    Room for a Clutch-Fan in a '65?

I finally got the measurement and pic for you. 2 3/4 from the mounting surface to the farthest point on the front of the clutch. Pic kinda shows less of a measurement, but it was the camera angle. Hope this helps.

    ‘65 4 Speed Hump Install

That looks great! I think i may give myself just a wee bit more room around the shift tabs on the transmission, simply because I'm old enough to be subject to all the "Old guy bruises and nicks" when I barely touch something.....lol.

    ‘65 4 Speed Hump Install

That helps a lot....and saved me from making a boo boo when I put the hump in my 65 Barracuda. I was gonna take the zizz wheel and cut the flap off flush and send it!

    Room for a Clutch-Fan in a '65?

I bought a fan assembly with a flex drive on it that's supposedly short enough to work on a 70 n up water pump in an early A. I'll try to dig it out of my Barracuda parts stash and get you some pics in the next few days. It's a pretty compact deal.....supposed to be from some sorta Mercedes...

    What would you do

Several years ago, somebody on here installed a new AMD full floor pan for a 67-76 A body into an Early A. If I remember right, the main problem areas were where the trans tunnel met the firewall pinch weld right at the top of the hump. He had to trim the width just a smidge, but it looked like...

    1965 Valiant Wagon Tail lights

Are the round lenses for the 65 Wagon not the same as a 64-65 Barracuda or Valiant? They look like the same thing. The square ones are obviously wagon only. If the OP wants me to measure my repro round lenses that I got from @Mexican Spec, I will.

    Serial Number Tag Adhesive

If you have any buddies that work in a body shop, see if they will slip you some panel bond adhesive. If you use that stuff, make sure you got it where you want it....cause it ain't ever comin back off!

    1965 Valiant Wagon Tail lights

You might be able to get the round ones from @Mexican Spec who sells reproduction lenses. I got some from him for my 65 Barracuda and they are good.

@J-c-c Did you consult with Doc Fiberglass about this and he got you all out of sorts? :poke: Keep stirring these guys and you're liable to have a George Custer moment here!

1964 Valiant "Get Runnin & Drivin"

Those spider gears look about like the ones I knocked out of the Duster way back when. Not even enough left to weld up a hilbilly locker! lol When I fixed the 7 1/4 in my Duster, I was 16 and didn't have enough sense not to get the stinky gear lube all over me. My Mom threw my cloths away and...

1964 Valiant "Get Runnin & Drivin"

Did it junk your cross shaft when it went kaboomyow? If not, you could use it back if it fits the new spiders and not have to drill n tap. I went thru all this in 1974 with my 70 Duster when I was in high school. Done it laying in the gravel driveway in the rain. Didn't take me but one time to...

What oil filter adapter do I need for a 340 in a 1964 plymouth valiant.

I keep that Fram PH8A around just to do mock ups. I wouldn’t run it on my car for nothing! LOL. I learned about the less angled adapter from reading a thread on here by @65barracudaLA when he went thru all this when he put a V8 back in his car. When I did my mock up, I tried both adapters with...

What oil filter adapter do I need for a 340 in a 1964 plymouth valiant.

The adapter that @Mojack posted in your want ad is the same part number as the one in my pic above. It is definitely for an early A and I will vouch for him 100%.

    Torsion rod trouble

They are stamped L & R, so hopefully that will help the OP. Also, if you are having a hard time getting them back in, you can remove the bump stop rubbers from the UPPER control arms so the whole assembly will lower down another inch or two. Most of the time that is just enough to get the...

What oil filter adapter do I need for a 340 in a 1964 plymouth valiant.

Here’s a few pics of the one on my 273 going in my 65 Barracuda with Doug’s headers. D450’s.

What oil filter adapter do I need for a 340 in a 1964 plymouth valiant.

You need one like the one on the right in the pic. If you use the later version, like the one on the left, the oil filter hits the frame rail. Pic credit to @65barracudaLA !

Hope it works out for you. I bet it will clean up and be a good car again. A car like that doesn't need to be fast....just needs to be fun!

    273 or 225?

Yes, and your car should already have a slip yoke 904 in it since it's a 66. If you use a newer than 65 904 and bolt any small block V8 in the car attached to the 904, your existing driveshaft should work right back. Later, if you upgrade the rearend to an 8 1/4 or 8 3/4, you will still be able...

    273 or 225?

Save the motor mounts, V8 steering center link, exhaust manifolds, gas pedal and throttle cable assembly. The only body modification you might have to make is notching the torsion bar crossmember on the passenger side if you want true dual exhaust. You can do dual exhaust without doing that, but...
