    4 spd guys

See someone bumped my old thread. I forgot all about this thread as it's quite old. Just to let everyone know my 4 speed swap was completed years ago and is rocking. Found a 4 speed from a 69 Barracuda, I have a 69 Cuda, and went with a Scattershield and Centeforce DF clutch.

    Need a 4-Speed

You can use a 4 speed out of about any A-body (Duster, Demon, Dart, Barracuda) 67 and up for certain. I think on the earliar A-body's things may have been different but not sure. Then it can depend if you want a overdrive or non-overdrive transmission. If you want to build your engine in...

    Centerforce Clutch

Removing that spring will be easy, it is just hanging there not connected to anything. Thank you for the help, had to make sure you know.

    Centerforce Clutch

I just want to make sure I take off the right spring(s). You take off the overcenter spring(underdash on pedals), and is that it or do you also take off the spring that comes with the clutch service kit. I have heard of people just using a block of wood for the clutch pedal stop, how thick...

Need some help (4 speed related)

Thanks guys that is what I thought. Just wanted to make sure. I'm hoping the fact that the guy seems to have no clue what he is talking about, is enough to turn everyone off when it comes to the trans. Hoping the terrible color, pics, discription keeps people away. Thanks. Jason

Need some help (4 speed related)

Thanks for your help. I am pretty sure that is an A-833, but of course could be wrong. I mainly want to know it it is a non-overdrive.

Could someone take a look at this trans from ebay. I think it has an adaptar for the shifter to make A-body tran. fit in a truck, but could be wrong. Question is if it is a overdrive or non-overdrive. Thanks in advance. Forgot the...

This weekend I'm going to Norwalk for the Chrysler Classics, and hope to pick up some parts. I know I won't be able to pick up everything. Bellhousing/Skattershield and clutch set will have to wait for now. I have the pedals, driveshaft, and pilot bearing. I plan to pick up a trans for sure...

    4 spd guys

I planned to use a centerforce and the lakewood bellhousing. I'll contact hawaii duster about the pedals. I talked to a guy at my parents/sister garage sale today, that I had to man for about 30 min. Used to be a Mopar guy now has some health problems, and a barn full of parts (engines, body...

Yeah I remember that happening. I was just wondering if I need a lakewood bellhousing, and I know I will need a aftermarket clutch. How hard was it to put your 4spd in? Would like to know the little parts needed to put a 4spd in. Thank you. Jason Foster

    4 spd guys

Would like to know all the parts needed for a swap a 727 to A-833 on a 360w/ a 8 3/4. My car puts out around 425tq right now so I was also wondering about anything that would have to be bought to keep from blowing clutch/trans. I know a few things, but to make sure I have/know everything for...
