Suggestions for muscle car sound muffler without drone

i would be looking at adding an X pipe , you'll more than likely still have a drone wit hthe dynomax muffler . I'm dealing wit hthe same thing on my Dart , X pipe is the next try. I have a Dr. Gas I bought a long time ago so it's going to end up in my dart .

Suggestions for muscle car sound muffler without drone

A body would use the shrotcase dynomax hemi turbo , I have 2.5's with mandrel pipes and factory big block A body exhaust manifolds and it has an awful drone .

    68 hp manifolds in a B body

What year is your B body? The 71-72 engine compartment is different than the 73-74. the 71-72 engine compartment is almost the same as a 70-71 E body , may be subtle differences here and there but it is basically the same , they use the same K frame. That said, the 340HP manifolds fit an E...

NEW 340 manifolds at a reasonable price

difference between old and new dynomax mufflers?

I want to say the original ultra flos were a crimped case muffler which is why they were deemed legal for FAST series racing because they LOOK stock .

difference between old and new dynomax mufflers?

Was the box with the crimped muffler open by chance ? I've seen wrong boxed mufflers at a parts store before , someone swapped the higher price muffler into the lower price muffler box .

    TTI Exhaust

I didn't order the kit , I just order tailpipes , they didn't offer headpipes to stock manifolds so buying the H was useless to me , I didn't want an H because my car didn't have one stock. I got them from a good source and he knew what car I was working on , I'm not sure what else what might...

TTI's where is best place to buy??

TTi has a price fixing policy , if they catch a dealer underselling they drop them as a dealer , you pay the same price no matter who you buy from , even direct , some dealers may eat the shipping but the price you see on the website is the price you pay . As far as mancini selling for 10% less...

    TTI Exhaust

Sorry , the tailpipes are one size fits all , they only list 3 tailpipes ,63-66 , 67-69 barracuda and 67-76 A body here is a pic of a 71 duster with 2.5" pipes , the same pipes I got and they are NOT correct for a 67-69 dart , hell a 67 A body only had a single tailpipe even with a dual...

    TTI Exhaust

2 is a possibility , but I never saw a system listed for darts AND barracudas , only 1 system . The exit point is correct , it's a FACTORY 383 car with 56k original miles , original rear tips and original hangers . The sheet I got from TTi on where to mount the supplied hangers used the hole in...

    TTI Exhaust

Unless they changed something they did not exit in the right place on a 68-69 Dart , they swing inboard of the frame rails after they clear the gas tank , the STOCK FACTORY mounts for my tips need the pipes to be directly under the framerail . Maybe the barracuda uses tailpipes like that and...

    Duster exhuast tip question

The pipes slip OVER THE OUTSIDE of the tips , look at how thick the tips are , you are not going to crush the tip with a clap to secure it to the pipe , on the inside only if you plan to WELD it to the tip . Stock A body tailpipes are 2"

    Opinions on exhaust

Is this going to pass inspection in Commiefornia ? It's quiet because of the X pipe ,an H or no crossover would make it louder , and you are correct , 3" on that engine is too big .

    383 and 2" ex. pipes

That's a pretty silly statement Dave , mopar put a bunch of 383's in cars and they were a big part of the of what made Mopars name back in the musclecar era on the street . As far as the 2" exhaust , yes it's going to be a restriction even with the small tube headers , the factory 383 cars had...

Big Block A Body Exhaust Manifolds

Look again , the passenger side is DIFFERENT from the std B body manifold , the down tube that connects to the exhaust pipe is a couple inches longer and it angles in toward the engine . I'm pretty sure by the date codes those are 67 only manifolds , the drivers side is different and more...
