    jegs 2 1/2'' exhaust install

Thanks for the jegs kit report. As far as crossover pipes go I used to be sold on them they do help eliminate drone in my opinion but as far as performance enhancement not so much. I never cared for X pipes seems to muddle the exhaust note in my opinion I like the sound of separated duels and...

    Glass Packs

We ran a lot of cherry bombs back in the day, but as mentioned they're not a great performance muffler the inner tube is usually somewhere around 2 in and more restrictive than you think, cyclone purple hornies bolted right to the flange they were also a class pack style and sounded the best of...

Any problems putting 3’ exhaust on 70 Dart ?

To answer your question yes you can run three inch all the way back on the 70 Dodge Dart it will be tight and questionable if it would be worth the effort. But that being said if 3 in what you want then by all means go for it. there is a difference in sound between two and a half and three inch...

    Rambunctious muffler recommendation

Here is one recipe guaranteed to give you the sound you're looking for, 3-in out of the collector approximately 5 ft of straight pipe to flowmaster 40s followed by a 6"of 3" tailpipe with turnDowns at the rear axles. Not a great fit for dirt roads.

Recommendations for good "A" street header

I have always ran inexpensive headers from cyclones .,summit headmen and even Doug thoroughly My latest pair have been on my car for 4 years now they're jegs they have very heavy flanges I had to purchase longer bolts and had to use Allen heads in some of the flange bolts. I also run an...

    Shorty headers

Sounds like a pain all right one thing I know is as good as 340 manifolds were there's still a big power cork and the more you improve your340 the more the restrictive manifold will come into play I have no experience with shorties though I always thought that would be a nice setup if done...

New 3" exhaust with 2.5" Tailpipes

yes sometimes it's a little much like when I drive it to work in the morning there's really no sneaking around. But plenty of people crawl around it trying to figure out how I get that sound and then they're amazed to see how simple it is. It doesn't do well with Dusty surfaces like I'm never...

New 3" exhaust with 2.5" Tailpipes

My Hi-Tech exhaust system consists of five feet of 3 inch straight pipe followed by Flowmaster 40s , 3-inch long tailpipes with turn Downs enhancing 1/8 mile dirt track camshaft, cats running dogs howling and two thumbs up it never gets old LOL

    Headers vs. manifolds

yes there a bit of a pain ..ok a big pain but headers are a big step up in performance and the improvement grows along with the build.after you get them in and if you uses good gaskets they don't need much maintenance.

    size & "H-pipe"

H pipe will help remove drone and improve low end power it will smooth and equal out back pressure. depending on your RPM range and gearing would be my determining factors on piping size for me ...I would go 3 inch with 2.5 H pipe some will say that's to much but for me about right!!
