I assume the drive shaft is not connected and flopping around. Need a little more info. Can you pin point noise center or ends, will it make the noise when you go Forward and back, turning and straight, When do you hear the noise?
I think a good pump would pull a vacuum and remove the air. Oil pumps are positive displacemant and must have a relief to keep from blowing the filter off the motor. Is the pick up in the oil? I know it sounds stupid but I been in that boat before. I remind myself to keep it simple stupid (kiss).
I just looked on Year One and they only have 34 or 36 at over $70.00 each. You might try Brewers Proformance and see if they can help find automatic parts.
No the crank that broke only had 5 bolts when I took it apart. The motor and trans were not the origional to the car and in the car so long I dont remember. The machine shop called to ask if they should balance with the 5 bolts and I thought I get some help so I dont have another problem.
I have a 340 with a 4 speed and only have 5 bolts that line up in the flywheel to the crankshaft, the 6 th hole will not line up but the new crankshaft has a threaded hole for the 6 th bolt. Do I need 6 or will 5 work.
The post from OLDVART forgot to send you for a six pack of beer first. Its not a big job to pull off and fix seals. It might take a pro about 1 hr. each side. Just enought time for another beer run.
