Brandon I dont mean to jump in on your thread but Im sure Im not the only one on this site that would like to see pictures your car. It must be hard to keep her down, seeing its got a few more horses than the original motor.

The supply wire is larger but the solenoid feed wire is #10, which is only about 3 feet long and has current draw a short time. I was looking for a chart that auto guys use for wire size.

What is the rule for the wire size in cars? I know for non auto wire 12 gauge is 20 amps and 10 gauge is for 30 amps is the same true in your auto? I noted in my duster I have some 10 gauge wire for the starter solenoid which has 49 amp draw but only has a 10 gauge wire.
