Your pretty close to dirty steel with that weld. Clean farther away and is the other side undercoat or oily? It will melt and mess up the weld. Start the arc on one panel and drag to the other instead of starting on the joint and getting blow thru. Also u cant cleanly weld rust. my 2 cents.

Thanks I agree with your points. In this case the window tint is the film style but who knows what went down with the one repaint.

All my side glass has some scratches mainly rears. If you have decent tinted then yes.

The story is the original owner never modified anything save some window tint and any repairs and one repaint. Passed away a few years ago. Im wondering if not original maybe the trim got an upgrade during the repaint. I thought they all got the look strip in 67.

Take the window out. You'll be shocked. I removed the lead and used short strand fiberglass after the metal repairs were finished. Mine looked better than your looks before I started.

I had a left remote mirror standard.. I bought a repop left and right mirror (for better chrome).. they look the same but the mounts are defiantly left and right. there is a difference. these are not sport.

POR15 dries really slow, like overnite. I've used the colour coat over the POR while it is just still tacky on parts and never had anything flake off.

Heaven forbid that you run across another killer car wash and we find out that 2 part epoxy doesn't work either,,,LOL

these pics were taken with my quarter panel cut off. on the inner panel there's a C channel track and I think the wheel you question rides in it. Top left picture 1 and 7. Remember these are looking from the outside in. hope these help.
