    Harbor fright tool coupons

I don't have a problem with their stuff. In fact, if you YouTube some product reviews you'll find that their wrenches compare quite favorably to some bigger names. In fact, I just shingled my shed with one of their pneumatic staplers. All I wanted was for it to get through the roof of this shed...

    Mueller metal buildings

I have a 12 foot ceiling and the lift maxes out well before the roof of the car hits. I think that's pretty typical of most lifts. As for the concrete?? I have four inches and it's fine. But..........I have two feet of four inch river rock mixed with road base underneath it. I don't know if I'd...

Considering adding a lift - thoughts on 2-post vs. 4-post?

I'm still undecided, and you guys aren't helping much. I might have to get one of each. Anyone have concerns about letting your suspension dangle for winter storage?

Considering adding a lift - thoughts on 2-post vs. 4-post?

I'm contemplating a lift too and leaning toward a four post. Mainly for the reason of safety as my sons will be there unsupervised. It is without a doubt better for storage, and the weight will be distributed over four pads as opposed to two. You also don't have to anchor a four post in case you...

Is there any way to test a breaker?

That was really complicated. Let's just say that the two 120V legs are 180 degrees out of phase with the other. Therefore they use each other for the return.

Is there any way to test a breaker?

They probably calculated in the power factor which takes the product of the volts times the amps and then multiples it by the P.F. (usually 75% to 85% depending on the motor). This calculates in any and all other losses the motor is subjected to. It's actually pretty honest practice on behalf of...

    24Wx32L Garage Build

I have one that size(24x32) and it's not big enough. My biggest regret is the two doors. In hindsight I would have rotated 90 degrees and done three doors on the broad side. That would provide room for a third car.

5HP air compressor electric motor ?

Right. They measured the current spikes on initial startup and used that to calculate the HP. They got busted and the HP rating had to be changed.

    2 Post Lift

What's under the concrete almost never comes up in these discussions. It makes a difference.

How much weight can I put on a car rotisserie?

Aren't we just talking a couple of modified engine stands connected together? Get a couple thousand pounders at Harbor Freight. Lengthen the outriggers, grease the hubs and connect them with something. Since you're supported on the other end you can divide the torque applied when you have an...

Help, I need to buy a torque wrench

You just have to wonder. If the specs call for 65 foot pounds is 60 or 70 unacceptable? Everything else in the engineering world has tolerances that they need to stay inside of. Usually +/- 5% give or take. Should torque wrenches be any different?

    Any Electricians? Advice on wire.

This is usually the standard garden variety wire they sell off the spool at Lowes or Home Depot. The letters THHN or TFFN or TFWN should be printed right on the wire. It's a hard plastic insulation on the wire but the type has to do with the heat dissipation. In all reality it doesn't much...

    Any Electricians? Advice on wire.

Just a multi strand thhn or thwn insulation. Multi strand goes through conduit a lot easier.
