If you have all the pulleys, brackets, accessories, and timing cover from your 318, I would do that. Just need two piece balancer from 5.9 Magnum. Good luck!

Sounds like a winner to me. I am running a comp cam with the same lift and 210/220 @ .050 and it runs very good. Should work well with your manual transmission.

Although I don't know from experience, I understand the 5.2 brackets would be the same as 340/360 brackets for a A body.

Intake and heads are the same for 5.2 and 5.9 Magnum engines.

Stock springs are barely good enough for the stock cam. Anything over that will need new springs.

If your OE are in good condition you can use those. I think the ones I got were Melling brand not sure though.

Yes, cold plugs Autolite 3922. Been fighting this for a while. LA timing cover with Magnum balancer. 92 alcohol free gas. Timing marks checked with degree wheel. Checked and set vacuum advance with manifold vacuum. Plugged in timed port on carb.

Are you running iron heads? Stock type pistons? Vacuum advance?

What timing is everybody running on there carbed Magnum engines? Right now I've got it dialed back to 15 initial and 28 total and vac advance 10 degrees at full advance. Using the stock springs for a slow mech advance and it's still rattling occasionally while at cruise.
