Got a Couple of Beauties from Target - 73 Duster & B-Body AWB

I love this Duster mold. Previously, I was only aware of the Sox and Martin version (which I bought at significant expense a few years back). Thanks for sharing this...I need both of these. :D

Trying floor shine for clear coat.

@Oldmanmopar which part do you disagree with? Oh, it's another "revenge" disagree. You're cracking me up.

Also, a company called Yatming made a Dart Sport (1975-76). It seems that it was last produced in the early 1980s and is incorrectly labeled as “Plymouth.” I bought a few of them and the roughest one has been stripped down and will be made into an (as close as possible) representation of my...

1/10th scale RC Kyosho Fazer 1970 Dodge Charger and Hellcat Challenger

I’m getting the sense that you may be misunderstanding what these things are. These are 1/24 scale model cars so 7” long or so? Of course someone could invest the time to 3-D print their own body mounts alter the chassis length, and go to some lengths to modify them to accept bodies made for...

That's a nice two pack! Be careful because these things will suck you in. Johnny Lightning has very nice castings (in my opinion) based on A Body Barracudas.

Trying floor shine for clear coat.

The product that used to be called Future floor polish has been working well for me for years. In addition to protecting decals, it also can provide a layer of protection for chrome. If you change your mind, isopropyl rubbing alcohol will remove it but make sure that the paint/surface...

1/10th scale RC Kyosho Fazer 1970 Dodge Charger and Hellcat Challenger

:D Unfortunately, the Challenger body only fits the AWD platform and the folks who race these things always run the RWD platforms. IMO, the ZL1 was preferable to the other bodies available on that platform.

1/10th scale RC Kyosho Fazer 1970 Dodge Charger and Hellcat Challenger

Is anyone still driving these? I’ve been loving my 1/10 Fazer2 Hellcat. I got mine in B5 blue and bought a spare body that has taken a major beating on the local hobby shop track. It has been a great performer! My buddies and I have also gotten into 1/28 Mini Z cars too… and of course the...

Mattel is a master at creating scarcity and making people scramble to find that one rare car in a case of 76 or whatever. If you haven’t already, read up on Treasure Hunt series that has been going on since 1995. They have sent countless retired guys to their local Walmart at 6AM. Their...

    My trio of A bodies

Great stuff, guys. I only have a few 1:18 models. Who makes the best ones these days? I posted in another thread that the Greenlight Challenger from "Vanishing Point" is a gorgeous model but it has a couple of lines that just wrong enough to be annoying. Then how do you go about obtaining a...

A Bodies but NOT Mopars ;)

I don't know about you guys but while Mopars occupy the vast majority of my car related thoughts (and diecast collection) I happen to love all kinds of cars, especially 50s-70s American machines. The Olds 442 is one of my all time favorite non-Mopars and it turns out that Johnny Lightning makes...

Anyone ever made a replica of their own car?

I’m working on it. There’s only one 1/64 Dart Sport casting in the world as far as I know and it’s a pretty low quality sculpt of a ‘75...but it’s the best I’ve got. I found a reasonable facsimile of my wheels and some old JL tires fit perfectly...
