    Sound Systems

My system was under $1k. I found RE Audio mono amp on clearance, pioneer 3500 deck, and pioneer 6x9 2ways. I had NiB RE 12 ' s and Pioneer 3.5". Built my own box, built a mount for 3.5" in the dash, hid the deck in the glove box. Sounds ok. Has USB that will control an Ipod but I'm not real...

    68 notchback headliner help please

I purchased an aftermarket headliner kit for my notch as well. The kit came with 2 sail panels that were NOT for a notch. We had an upholsterer do it, but he was confused by it. I do no have pictures or mine, but I had to convince him to glue the new headliner to the original sail panels.

    Retrosound, Amps & Sub Install

Btw, nice choice in equipment. I have sold and installed kicker, crystal mobile sound, infinity, Sony, crossfire, RE audio, Kove Audio, US Amps, Panasonic, Harrison audio labs, jl audio... And still feel that Pioneer is the best bang for your buck on the market.

    Retrosound, Amps & Sub Install

Adding a sub anywhere is going to add a whole dimension to a sound system. As for feeling bass as much as hearing, look into aura sound bass shakers. They don't reproduce sound, they provide vibrations so you feel it! Strange huh? I've never fooled with one.

    Retrosound, Amps & Sub Install

I apologize if I sounded like a d-bag in my reply. That was not, by any means, my intention. Until 10yrs ago I was an installer and competed and judged in car audio competition. When mounting a rear facing sub like that, some response will be lost trying to get through that mdf. The good thing...

    Retrosound, Amps & Sub Install

Looks great, although I am kind of curious as to how well the bass resonse will travel from the trunk to the passenger compartment with 3/4" MDF blocking it path. no doubt it will sound great, but I cant help think a few dB will be lost in the low range.
