    Street Demon Carburetor

I have a 750 demon sitting on top of the 440 that is going into my Barracuda. I can't tell you how well they work, but I was sold on the videos for the 600. PS, I am not sure how they get the 750 rating as the primaries are the same size as an AFB edelbrock, but with the bigger secondary...

Opinions on cold air intake setup

I never seen this post before. My carb 406 has a drop base air cleaner with dual 4" inlets. Allows extra clearance. Then I ran flex tubing to radiator support.

    Looking for possible carb recommendations...

When my 440 was still in the donor 78 New Yorker I drove it everyday for 2 years with and edelbrock 600 and CH4B intake. Go to summits CFM calculator. 5500 rpm, 440cubes = 595cfm street, 770 racing. The 600 has smaller primaries and give good response and little bog. You could take a look at...

    Street Demon 750

I'd love to test and review it, but the car the motor is going into is currently down to parts and getting read for primer. I have read many good things about the 625 version and actually got in a preorder for the 750. Been waiting a couple months.

    carb cfm for 383

Avs = Thunder series. If ultimate performance is not your goal, a 650 will be fine. A 650 will give you nice throttle response but may sacrifice some performance at high RPM. For my 440 I have chosen to run a street demon. They make a 625 that has received good reviews. In theory it takes...

    Street Demon 750

Picked up my Street Demon 750 today. Not sure how they came up with the 750 rating as the primaries are the same size as an edelbrock 750 but has the goggle valve instead of normal secondaries. Maybe the stacked boosters in the primaries restrict more flow...

what are the symptoms of perculating

I ran a Eddie 600 on my NYer's 440 for 2 yrs. stock low comp. ran fine. But I wasn't trying to spin it to 5grand either. I think a 750 is just right for a street stalker 440. Might leave a little on the table above 6grand.

what are the symptoms of perculating

Run on us not percolating. Percolation is the fuel In your carb bowls boiling off when it sits after running. This causes hard starts. It sounds like you are suffering from a lean condition that could be caused by fuel starvation. Could also be a timing issue. I always check the easiest fix...
