I haven't had a lick of trouble with it. Been driving it a good bit, and still working fine.

There are probably hundreds of thousands of Magnum powered Dodge trucks out there with cracked heads and they are still on the road running just fine. I think people make a bigger deal out of it than it is.

Glad someone dug up this old thread. I have the same cam as the original poster, sitting on the shelf just waiting to go into my 5.9. Just dont want to pull it apart right now, probably wait till fall/winter now.

Crap ! I better go change the oil in mine and see if I have any plastic or metal in the oil. Id hate to pull my almost brand new engine apart because of this mistake. But it would give me a reason to upgrade the cam...lol

Would like to know the cam specs too. I went stock with mine to save a few bucks, but now I’m wishing I had at least done a cam and springs.

Sometimes you can find a decent deal on the Edelbrock one if you're not in a big hurry. Dont remember for sure where I got mine, but after some internet shopping I found it significantly cheaper than Summit or Jegs price.

I'm using and A/C delete bracket for now, but have plans for adding a/c at a later date. Obviously I'd need a different upper radiator hose at that point. You can see in this pic where the heater hose meets the manifold, right behind the a/c compressor mounting pad.

I bought a Carter pump, but haven't really explored my mounting options yet. But that's what's next.
