As for the O2 sensor, I have mine installed and would install it in the reducer where the exhaust from each of the cylinders will pass over it. Make sure it is installed in the top portion of the pipe.

I have had the same issue in the past and been able to eliminate the drone with straight thru glass packs next to the fuel tank. I also had your exact exhaust setup on a E-body 340/727 with the same drone. Installed the TTI headers and it's gone. Like a different car now..

I have 2 small block Challengers, Both with 2.5" TTI exhaust and Dynomax mufflers. One with the "H" pipe has the drone you are talking about around 2000 rpm. The "X" pipe system while a little quieter out the back at idle, has NONE of this drone. I guess something about the "X" eliminates it. I...
