Sorry for your loss. I was told by my insurance company once that if I had a car in the garage and it was sitting on jack stands being worked on that the home insurance would cover it even if I didn't have insurance on the car. Might check in to it.

I would think it would be worth more than that but it will depend on your area. In my area that car would bring close to $3K I would think.

I would go for the Dart but go for which ever that would make you happy. If you are not happy with it it will not be a fun project for you.
