Eaton wants you to run Lucas oil with their true trac. I called them and I had to remove the valvoline from mine. I think the other option they mentioned was a shell product.

When I purchased my truetrac, I called them about the limited slip additive and told them I had put valvoline gear oil in. They told me that I needed to drain the valvoline out and use Lucas oil (no additive) or Shell in order to avoid any issues. I followed their recommendations and all seams...

I have one with no issues at 600 hp. Motor is out and stepping up to 700 for spring. Not sure what the concern is? I called them and they said to only use Lucas oil and not valvoline.... seams to work fine. Pick the phone up and call them and use your own judgement.

When I had one on my car, it was adjustable and I wrapped tape around the small end and then assembled it and installed. No rattles.

I had the transmission fully rebuilt and had the Trans go 2 kit installed. The car is mini tubed with Caltracs and QA1 shocks and 325/15/50 Street Radials. Still probably won't hook up, but it won't be like driving in the snow either. Andrew

Cool, I ended up calling eaton as I installed mine last weekend and wanted to reassure what I had done. I went from a 3:55 to a 4:30 so I would see a noticeable difference for running around town. I still have my other chunk intact to swap out for longer trips if needed. Can't wait to try it out...

The spacer is around 1" or so and is the diameter of the axle. Search truetrac on this sight. You will find similar replys. If you have green bearings that are adjustable, I do not think you need the spacer.
