    If there isn't any external leaks then it sounds like the master cylinder is bypassing back into the reservoir. Time to rebuild/replace/or upgrade the master cylinder

    I went with the Scarebird setup 4-5 years ago and haven't had one problem with them. And the price can't be beat. I have $250 -300 in the complete conversion with all new parts.

    You replaced the master ....did you check to make sure there is a little free play between the pushrod and the plunger in the m/c ?

    I believe all modern disk/ drum setups use the valve as shown in the last pic- where it is part of the plunger assembly. I did the scarebird conversion about 4-5 years ago and just bought me a rebuilt master cylinder for a disc/drum car and never changed my proportioning valve or anything else...

    I did a early conversion (about 4-5 years ago) using Scarebird on my cuda and it has worked flawlessly from day one. I heard that they improved their choice of calipers and discs since then and they work even better now

    I did the Scarebird conversion over 3 years ago (one of the first ones on Abodies) and I haven't had one problem. Never even had to change p-valve either. Plan on doing the rears this coming winter with their kit too

    I used the Scarebird conversion set and I am very pleased with the results when you consider the price was under $300.00 for everything new (no used parts involved)

    I have seen some mopar vans that the booster on the pass side and it laid parrelell to the firewall and was operated via a counterlever off the original pedal.... been considering something similar myself

    the reasoning behind there logic is to use one side of the front systen for the line loc because not every car has their brakes system the same some run 2 front lines from master and as Onehellofa dart says this covers their ***...but you end up the same ...my way is jusst simpler , cheaper...

    To avoid a mix and match brake system why not wait until you do the conversion to switch masters? Takes the guess work and the possible danger out of the formula for now . You are defineately in a grey area here as I did the scarebird conversion and Im still using the drum porportioning valve...

    should be a little bit of clearance between the rod and master (very little) and yes rebuilding a booster is a major pain ...time to hit a junkyard

    not that simple as there are a set of check and bypass valves inside besides a diaphram. when you push the pedal only a few 1000/inch a port open up to allow the vacuum to assist the pedal draw action and when you release it closes that port and equalizes the vacuum on that side of the diaphram...

    thats what Im trying to avoid is replacing all the frt suspension. There has got to be a simpler way to get 4.5 " bolt pattern up front with out re inventing the whole front suspension
