    seat belts were mandated by the government to be installed in 68 and all cars built after that ... so you may not even have the holes in the floorpan so i would use the pics above to guide you to where to drill (and reinforce)

    I just finished repainting the Cuda for the 3rd time this season about 2 hours ago. Still have a few things I am not too thrilled about, but I am going to have to live with them. Besides I am out of time , money and patients. If I don't start to drive it now it will be next summer before I get too.

    I used a nice black enamel base and urethane clear coat before I sprayed it just like they advised. The only thing I didn't do was buff and polish the housing first ...lol maybe over something as smooth as an old chromed bumper it might work better ... I'm going to try it on some old chrome...

    My 68 came with undercoating ( if you could call it that) and luckily it was put on very sparingly. It just barely covered the floor pans. After 40 years it was pretty hard and dried up. The majority came off using large screw drivers and I rigged up a air chisel and a blade from an old gasket...

    As with most refreshenings the hard work is in the details. I have finished painting the car for this year and now its time to buff out and clean and detail everything ... and believe me there is a lot of little things to fix
