You won't use a flex plate at all. You need an solid 360 external balanced flywheel with a clutch to match your bell housing for a standard tranny.

One of the arms is broke off the Z bar.

These are the bearings I show for that application.

Check the right bottom just above and to the left of the transmission bolt hole. Top picture is a supposedly a 68 so it may or may not be there. Bottom picture is supposedly a 67 big block.

My Hollander Interchange shows the 273 flywheel and the 318 flywheel not to interchange.

If a ring was made it would still have to be secured so it wouldn't fall inside the bellhousing so that would require some additional work too. I am not a fan of machining something to make it work when a quality bolt on part is available.

Then using the correct bearing retainer is the answer where people are told to machine or make bushings for the hole in the bellhousing.

The hole for the bearing retainer is what they keep talking about. They say one bellhousing is too small to accept the other transmission because of the large bearing retainer. So is there a smaller bearing retainer that will bolt on to the tranny that has the large bearing retainer? Is it safe...

I think you need to look because the op has only posted once in the entire thread. You could be correct but the op never said if it was engine, transmission, od tranny or anything else. This is post #6. You might want to check out post #8 if you are talking about MoparDaddy.

We took it as he is asking if it is interchangable on the engine but he didn't make it clear so maybe he was asking about the transmission.

I bet 7036 is the casting number of just the flat part.

Is the part number on the flat part. If so that is probably the part number/casting number of just that part before the handle was attached.
