That's a beautiful car! You did well with that settlement in my opinion. Just do whatever color floats your boat. Fresh paint on that car will look hot no matter what it is...as long as it works with the interior. :)

Long tools are best for big panels, but if you truly have just a few dings, and the panel was generally straight, I'd take it back down to metal, or close, and just focus on the damaged areas. Then again, you can always just paint the car White. :D Seriously, if you're working the trunk lid...

If the "defroster" mode is valuable to you in your climate, you may want to take a second look at blocking things off also? I did something similar on a brand X car and driving in the rain or very moist conditioned required a towel on the seat next to me for wiping purposes, especially at night...

Dave, is that car two-toned? the pic sure looks like a different green below the belt line? If so, since I'm a green guy, I'd look into doing a F8 top on it just to keep the exterior all green. I love the Mod Tops also, but with this car, I'd probably go White from the two choices available...

Caleb, i'll support you if you decide to take this project on, but keep in mind that 99% of the public will never realize the time, money and effort you went thru to do it. Unless there's crash damage or extreme rust issues in that area of the body, my opinion is to leave well enough alone.

What door will work with this setup, a earlier 2dr Valiant? Maybe I'm confused here :).

I'll take a little Petty Blue as a accent depending on the scheme, but please don't do a overall job. I think it would cheapen a 60's hotrod. jmo.

If the speedo was good with the 120, I think your good with the 150. All the heads should be calibrated the same. The trans/speedo gear should only be effected by a change in rear gear or tire size. At least that's my dealings with GM stuff. Oh yea, it's in the upper twenties here in the "low...

I just do a clay bar & follow with Meguiar's liquid cleaner wax for the daily drivers. I have several spray type/touch up deals on the shelf and i'm just not a fan of them. Maybe their better on a show type finish?

Exactly......How many "A"s are worth a 10k paint job? Maybe 1% of production at best.

Wow guys! My first thought was to totally agree with your last sentence, but it's been since the early 80's since i ran a supply store or sprayed anything. Costs were even rising back then with the popularity of urethanes, but i guess now days with current labor rates and many more regulations...

Have you considered Yellow? Had a friend in high school with a 73' with the tan interior. Had 10" Cragers rear and 6" front. Sat a little high by today's standards, but was a very pretty car.

Probably look really good with a Hemi under it :D.
