    No expert here, but wouldn't longer exhaust headers simply cause a little more lag and slower spool up? Certainly if the exhaust gas becomes cooler, the air will become more dense, and therefore will have less pressure to hit the turbine as quickly, so boost will come on more gradually? Grant
