Taillight issue could be because of an improper tag light if you have the taglight running in series using the two wires instead of power going in one wire and the other acting as a ground. That was the one I ran into.

well, here's an idea. you could redrill you axles and drums to BBP by a professional and keep your current wheels and fix the issue. that's the cheapest route that I can think of
