Anyone have a timing map for an LA with a single turbo runing 6psi on 93 pump? I have meth injection to keep the intake charge down and to add some fuel. Have a good timing map rite now, just wondering if anyone has one I can compare with and see if I'm way under advance.

Updates: So I tore the engine down.... Number 2 piston was completely trashed. Skirt was cracked and so was the entire pistone. Definitely from detonation like suggested above. Number 6, 7, 8 had cracks in the ring lands as well. The cylinder wall on number 2 is cracked in 2 spots...block is...

I do have meth injection. I was just spraying water though. Not sure what the IAT was. I know as soon as I roll into it, it comes way down with the water. I don’t really have room for intercooler.... May have to make room though. I did end up just running another breather.

Looked down intake runners.... found bits of metal balls. Pulled #2 plug, the gap I had is no longer lol. My guess is piston ring land let go. I have a good running 360 from a friend I’ll be picking up. I’ll pull heads and re gap rings, throw in an lms head gasket, arp head studs and arp main...

So the thing rips at 6 psi. While at silver lak sand dunes... 5 mins in and a long hard 4 low pull.... head gasket blew. lol. Now to order up an LMS gasket and pull the heads.

I just decided on stock manifolds. I have a t4 flange turbo. It will be low boost till I can build another engine for more boost...or till this one blows up HAHA! I spend a lot of time in the throttle while offroading.

A rear mounted turbo system would not work. My jeep gets used and abused in mud, rock, sand and water crossings. The headers I have are block huggers by Summitracing. They just bake the underhood stuff. I can't even touch the hood or brake booster. I think i'll just order a set of these...
