I had the same problem on my 67 valiant. So I put some weatherstrip adhesive on the back of the tag and used regular pop rivets to smoosh it on. Car isn't worth a lot of money and won't be sold anytime soon so doubt anyone cares. The tag matches the registration so no problem.

In reality there are some minor differences in the 75 and 6 ones too.

The bolt holes are different measurements and configured different and the up and down angle is different. So I'd say no, just get the right unit for your car. The orange one is the early A unit.

I just swapped and engine on a 2007 Ford taurus. They assemble the whole driveline on the sub frame and lower the body over it all so some bolts are impossible to get to without dropping the sub frame. I took the front bumper and headlights off for more access.

I can do it. What people need to do is work on any 2000 and up car then they will say " dang, that old mopar is simple.
