Spent Thursday at Willow Springs

Thanks for props. There were a lot of really nice Darts out there this year. Spent some time in the SS Dart/Barracuda tent; love the way those cars look. Took a bunch of pics of the Dart front end. My goal is restore my grill like this:

I'm caravanning down with Dennis, hopefully with Greg Kern too. We're leaving Wednesday and staying overnight at the Hilton Palmdale, hitting Willow Springs Thursday morning.

Gearing up for the trip. Got new Cooper Cobra's all around. Had the rear fender lip rolled and went up one size to 255/60-15s. Steelies were powder coated satin black. Ordered a headlight relay harness from Crackback, should be here in a couple days; and a pair of halogen headlights...

The BW Carriage Inn on the flyer is the host hotel with a special show rate of $139/night. Call during business hours and ask for Katiana. I first talked to two other employees and they knew nothing about it so she's the main contact.

I'm in, booked my room at the BW Carriage Inn. So far three or four of us are caravanning down from NorCal. Going to track day on Thursday.

Just booked 4 nights at the Best Western Carriage Inn for Spring Fling. Going down Thursday from Sac area. Haven't decided yet whether going to track day or not.

Got back this evening; 1100 mi round trip. Track day at WS was a blast. Malibu cruise drew well over 40 cars. On Saturday had the pleasure of meeting Sammy (MuuMuu) and checking out his awesome Dart. Lots of nice cars on display.

It was good meeting and talking with you today. Looking forward to seeing you at the cruise tomorrow. My first time at WS and track day was awesome. Just the vibe alone made the trip worth it.

Caravaning with other Mopes from NorCal this year. Probably not going to run the track but it will be thrilling to watch. Thursday head out to Van Nuys for Spring Fling.

These were taken in Auburn; NorCal foothills. Takes place the 2nd Friday between May - Sept.

Chrysler New Yorker s/w - I believe a '57. The paint was a mile deep.

At last week's Auburn show there were some nice Studey's; I caught three of them Don't see too many roots blown Studebakers around Or tunnel ram pick ups 1881 buggy with the original body.

Yeah, it was a nice showing. I still have more pics to post.

From May - Sept, the Sierra foothills town of Auburn hosts a 2nd Friday car show where they block off downtown for cars and pedestrians. It's a great show; lots of cars, great car folks wanting to talk about their rides. Self policing, never seen an incident in the 4 years I've attended. Today...
