a guy posted that he loosened both nuts/shanks then tightened one till the driveshaft can just be turned with one hand then loosen it another 1/2 turn then locking it down then the same way with the other band except you turn the driveshaft the other way. I may have missed repeating something...

I can get a 4.2 lever & was going to back off the allen bolt on the side that I had read about (they said leave several threads, just enough so it stays engaged). I have the t wrench/socket & I will see of I can find the commando specs (I will google it). If no luck where should I search next...

67 up 904. will be pulling the VB & wondering what I should adj the inside band to while I am in there, (snug & how many turn out?). shifts normally up thru the gears then mashed in third gear (if that info helps).thank you for your time. RR

getting ready to order some Dr Diff axles. it wants to know if for 30 or 35 splines. this is afaik a stock 5:57 gearset. thank you for your time. RR EDIT and would I want to go with green bearings or stock type tapered roller bearings (dirt track stock car, high side loads I'm sure).

have a 7&1/4 in a 73 dart & the mag wheels/tires are very close to the outer fender. I would like to swap to an 8&3/4. Are these pretty much the same total width? thank you for your time. RR

the wheelwell radius has been trimmed to where all of the wheel/tire is visible from the side tho you dont want the tire/wheel to stick out past the fender cuz when your bumped (& you will be!) it would flatten the tire. I think I'm gonna be good on the wheel/tire to spring clearance. I will...

CORRECTION: my mistake, this is a BBP 7&1/4 going to SBP 8&3/4 and unfortunately spacers ain't allowed in the class. I will measure the SBP 15 x 7 wheels that I have, the backspace & post it later but it is deep. RR

is the end to end wheel flange distance pretty much the same for the two? I'm swapping rears & having potential wheel backspace clearance issues from wheel/tire to leaf springs. I am not in a position to measure everything right now. any thoughts? thank you for your time. RR

replacing the 2 5/16" tranny cooler lines. can I bend em to a 90 deg angle with a regular tubing bender or do I need to do something extra to keep em from kinking? these are parts house 5 ft lengths with the male fitting on each end. is there an adapter fitting to mate em to the brass fittings...
